Life is an adventure, and I am blessed to be sharing this adventure with the wonderful man God brought into my life over sixteen years ago...YAY, God! We love to travel and to serve (explaining our almost 10 years in an RV), and we love the adventure of traveling the side roads and experiencing life away from the hustle and bustle of so much of today's world. You will often find us in our little Saturn, with a Gazetteer open in my lap while my husband looks for small country roads that we have never traveled....ya' never know what adventures await you! For example, one little road we traveled on led us next to, if not through (!), a dairy farm....where the cows' faces were almost in the vehicle with us! We have discovered quiet calming streams, beautiful vistas, wonderful people, and God's peace.
At the present we are experiencing adventure after adventure as we make this house our home....where IS that drip coming from? (It was coming from a plumbing joint that had apparently never been sealed....what's THAT all about?) And it will be an adventure this spring as we watch what our backyard has in store for us...fruit trees...hmmmm, are they fruit-bearing? What will burst forth from the ground when warm weather arrives? Are those berry bushes on the back fence? And our prospective garden and bee-keeping will definitely be an adventure!
And adventures are what we are hoping to have with our grandkids this summer as they come (one by one) to visit Mimi and Papa "in the country". I see long walks, cookie-baking sessions, board games, bonfires, reading in the gazebos (no, NOT in the snow) , all in our future....sounds like a little slice of heaven to me!
It is also an adventure to settle into a new community...finding a new church (we have) and getting involved (also starting to do that), making friends in the area (slowly doing that) and experiencing all that the area has to offer....and we are excited about doing that.
Most of all I anticipate the adventure I am on every day as I draw closer to Him, and I look forward to sharing all of our adventures with you.
