A Day at Cheekwood

We were blessed to be able to spend some time with son Jon and daughter-in-law Melodie a couple of weeks ago....and since she was doing a pottery demonstration at Cheekwood we got to spend some time enjoying the beautiful grounds there.

There's always a funny one in the bunch, right?

It was a beautiful day, and we enjoying watching Melodie at her craft.....

 My handsome, honey, "Mr. Man"...

These yellow pansies were definitely "bucking the trend" in the sea of purple, but I think they added such a bright and whimsical touch!
Let's all try to be a bright spot in someone's day today!

Our time with them also included time at the shooting range with Jon.....good fun!  AND some awesome grilled steaks later that evening.  All in all, we had a great visit and now we have some great memories!

What are you doing today to make memories with those in your life?

Zoo....

As promised, here are some more photos from our day at the zoo a couple of weeks ago....

Let's go 'xplorin'....

Looks like someone needs to see the orthodontist.....

 So graceful.....
...but this looks like it would hurt!
 Nice kitty.....

And this is how I was feeling by the time we saw this red panda.....

The Nashville Zoo has an awesome playground, and all the kids enjoyed it, including Lucas...
  Can you say Trouble?

The boys really enjoyed the lorikeet enclosure...

 .....even Mr. Man....

Jenn is "talking to the animals...." or birds, that is.

Lots to see, lots to do at the Nashville Zoo, and thanks to Kroger, we were able to get in on "BOGO" days with our Kroger card.....love me some savings, how about you?  How do you save when you're planning family outings?
