Indigo bunting.....so pretty in the sunlight!
And the first squirrel who has been brave enough to come on the deck to get to the feeder....didn't stay long, I can assure you. I know, I know....squirrels need to eat....just NOT the food I put out for the birds!
Roufus-sided Towhee. I had never seen one of these.....had to look him up in my trusty Audubon Field Guide (looooove that book....just a great reference).
And the ground hog family we have discovered living under our shed! Lovely! So the great white hunter (aka my honey) set out to hopefully trap and relocate the suckers....don't want them scavenging on OUR garden! Well, no groundhogs, but he did catch this very unhappy critter....
...a not-so-friendly raccoon!
Tomorrow I will try to give you the rundown on the makings of our garden...and what it looks like now, but in the meantime, I'll leave you with a few more pictures of the grandkids from their visit this past weekend....enjoy!
Have a great day!
