Looking back....

It's time for a look back....we've missed posting about some good times and good friends. 

A couple of weeks ago we had a very busy and full week...a Mark Lowry concert with good friends, Wayne and Michele.  Since it WAS a Mark Lowry concert, you know good laughs were had by all.  Unfortunately, my pics didn't turn out too well (maybe because I was laughing too hard?), so no photographic evidence, sad to say!

The next day we drove over to Asheville to meet friends, Randy and Debbie, from my days in California...

We met in downtown Asheville and enjoyed lunch at a "trendy" bistro (their advertising).  I had a first for me...a lamb burger that was very moist, meaty and yummy!  It was so good to see them after so many years (don't ask how many....I'm not sure I want to divulge our ages...haha)!  A lot of catching up, and so good to see how God has blessed over the years.

Since not everyone in our foursome is a fan of shopping, we made our way over to the Botannical Gardens, about which I think someone misinformed me!  I was expecting something a bit more, but it WAS between seasons, and what we saw I definitely classify as pretty......

 

After time spent together enjoying the company...and the hot, humid weather, not so much....we all agreed that we need to make sure it is not an equal number of years before we get together again!

Thanks, Randy and Debbie, for including us in your vacation plans....it was a great afternoon!

But wait....there's more to this busy week, but you'll have to check back later tonight for that post....it's REALLY heavy on pictures....does Bristol Motor Speedway mean anything to you?!!!  Plus there are some more friends...this time from high school days...to catch up with.   Whew.....
