Wild and Wonderful West Virginia

In late September we headed north to South Charleston, WV for Willie's 50th high school class reunion!  Before we had driven very far we were struck by the beauty of the skies....

I have to tell you....I am a sucker for a beautiful view!
Before we headed into South Charleston, we made a stop along the Kanawha River to get some shots of the gold-leafed dome of the Capitol Building...

The reunion festivities started that evening with a Meet and Greet...
Our tablemates and new friends....Steve and Sara
My handsome Mr. Man and me....
Catching up...

Suzi and Fred Whaples...
Debbie, Willie's next door neighbor and classmate....
The next evening found us at the country club for the dinner/dance...

The Youngs...our table mate additions for the evening...
It was a fun evening with the exception of a fall on the dance floor by one of the class members....but happy to report she is recovering from her broken hip!

The next day we headed out....destination Virginia Beach, with stops in Charlottesville and Mathews, VA.  Again.....the beautiful skies!

We made stops at some of Willie's favorite places....

Headed to Babcock State Parl and the Gristmill...

Cabin 21, where we spent five days of our honeymoon....
First major stop....Charlottesville, VA and lunch with daughter Amber...
....then on to Mathews, VA where son Ted and wife Dawn live...right on the river!
