It's the start of another new week, but last week was a good one. Willie has been enjoying metal detecting near one of the rides in the park....so far in three "outings" he has found over $57 in coins, and he also found a nice Case brand knife. He says there is still a lot more there, so if I don't see him around, he's probably digging in the ground!
Several of the couples from the park went to the annual "Balloons, Tunes & BBQ" here last Friday night. We all really enjoyed watching the hot air balloons, especially at dusk when they did several illuminations. In addition to concerts from a couple of local groups, they were holding the semi-finals and finals of the Bowling Green Idol contest. Had it down to the last five and contrary to the weather forecast (beautiful weather, no rain anywhere in the area) about halfway through we heard two claps of thunder and all of a sudden the downpour started! I was fortunate to be in the chiropractic tent getting a neck massage....and believe me, I stayed put! It was a neat time, tho....the chiropractor and most of her staff are very strong Christians, so we had a wonderful time of sharing and praising God.
