If I knew then what I know now......how many times do we say that in our lives? After the fact, numerous locals shared with me that due to the angle of the intersection, there is a blind spot there. I am proof of that, as I stopped at the stop sign, and after not seeing anything coming either way, proceeded to go straight across. The next thing I know, I am hit and my wild ride has begun! Willie tells me that I was sent about 40-50 yards before I stopped. After the initial impact (by the EMPTY car carrier), I went careening into a small embankment, which then sent me across the two lane road into a small ditch, where I stopped . WHEW!!
Not the way I want to spend a day, that's for sure!!!
But to know that I escaped with a dislocated left shoulder, a crack in the head of my left humerus, and some minor scrapes and a lot less bruises than you would think.....all I can say is, "Thank you, Lord!"
Ouch! The pictures are frightening. Thank you Lord for protecting Sandy and that she is healing!
