This week there were six new "recruits" - not of their own free will, mind you. But they are boys who desperately need help. So as we come to mind this week, we ask that you please remember them and their families!
Willie is busy working on repairing and replacing roofs, while I am helping out in the kitchen. Feeding 100 boys is quite an undertaking...especially when things don't go exactly as planned. Teamwork to the rescue, tho'! We still got the meal out on time and it was received with requests for seconds.
We hope to make a couple of weekend "field trips" while we are here....hope to make the trip over to Gulfport to see the church where Willie spent many hours, days and weeks working after Katrina. Our tentative plans also include meeting up with friends Rick and Janet Karley (I traveled with Janet on two Encore Continental mission trips, including the one to Ukraine).
