Yes, I'm back for Day 3....but alas, not with a photo I took today. Today was a very unusual day....started out early with a road trip to Nashville to take Zach (see below) to the airport and then a planned quick visit with my dad before heading back home. We did have camera in tow...tho' not the good one, but a camera nonetheless. I had plans of taking photos of Zach at the airport, but before we even got to the airport, I received a call from Dad's care facility that he had fallen...AGAIN...(that man has a hard time giving up what little independence he has left...and who can blame him?). So while we were at the airport my thoughts were a little distracted and photo taking did not rank high on the list. Anywho...Zach did get on his plane with no problem (he's an old pro at it by now), landed in New Orleans, was met by Mom and brothers and is now at his weekly Boy Scout meeting.
This photo was taken when we went to
Ripley's Aquarium in Gatlinburg....he was fascinated!
He's a very special "tweener" and we thoroughly enjoyed having him here with us.
Meanwhile.....my (Sandy) dad...cracked a rib this time! He is not too thrilled with his new restrictions, but he is in some pain from the fractured rib, so there wasn't too much protesting today. If you think about it, lift him up in prayer....as we discussed today, getting old is not for wimps, and he is, and has been, gracious through this process, but it is not easy!
Dad, if you are reading, this.....remember you are grounded....but most of all, know you are loved!
