This was taken at the Lotus Pond in Virginia Beach on a VERY hot summer day when we were still living in the motorhome. How hot was it, you ask? It was soooo hot that even with both air conditioners running the inside of the motorhome was still over 90 degrees and outside temp was 105! Way too hot for this chick! So we opted for a drive in a much cooler car, and one of our stops was at the Lotus Pond on the way out to Sandbridge Beach (for those of you familiar with the VaBeach area). There were several different dragonflies....but this one just stopped and posed for me.....what a beauty!
