What a gorgeous start to the day....God is such an awesome artist!
Even if we don't see another thing today, we have been blessed!
Approaching Glacier Bay National Park....
Only two cruise ships a day are allowed into the park, tho' there were several other smaller vessels on the water.

I love how the mountains create their own weather! You will often see the taller peaks shrouded in these clouds...

We were told by the captain that sometimes when you are in the bay, they have to "convince" you that there are actually glaciers out there....they are frequently hidden from view by "glacier fog". But, again, on this day, it was crystal clear and the views were magnificent!
Look at all the jagged "peaks"....this ice is ancient and beautiful!
Just like yesterday, our captain turned the ship to starboard and port so that the glaciers could be viewed from stateroom balconies...

Apparently, the vessels weren't the only ones in the Park today....
There were icebergs of all shapes and sizes....
We thought this one looked like an aircraft carrier...
Our ship was the first one of the year to be allowed into John Hopkins Inlet and to traverse all the way up to the John Hopkins Glacier....
Heading back out of the Bay....
In all, we got to experience the thrill of 5 major (Margorie, Grand Pacific, Reid, John Hopkins and Lampleigh) and numerous smaller glaciers today. Tomorrow we will pull into Skagway, where we have a full day of excursions planned.....more fun, to be had, more sights to see and more experiences to be shared!
