See this van? And friendly bull elk with his "women"?
Well, this van apparently wanted a closer view of the elk activity so it backed up and pulled into this parking space. Well, Mr. Elk didn't like the fact that the van got between him and one of his ladies that he was trying to corral. He took off at a run headed straight for the van.....
...and then proceeded to ram the van four or five times! Fortunately, the driver decided to back up and leave....hopefully, he didn't end up with a punctured radiator!
Mr. Elk then issued his haunting bugling cry to his lady who was still across the street.
Looks like Mr. Elk has his lady headed back to the rest of the harem....
We headed out of Mammoth Village and very soon saw these bison right alongside the road....
More bison herds today.....loooove this guy's face!
Amazing skies.....
The clouds are still "hanging" low....creating beautiful vistas....
Our first stop today was at Tower Falls...aptly named.
There are soooo many thermal features around here, it almost felt my head needed to be on swivel! And yes, we drove right through all of this steam!
The steam vents don't seem to bother the bison at all....at one point I saw two calves running through the steam...almost like they were playing!
Our second stop of the day took us to the Paint Pots....appropriate named....the colors are so beautiful!
Enjoying the day....
