I loooove waterfalls...just ask my Mr. Man, or anyone else who knows me well, for that matter...
First view of Yellowstone Falls...these falls are taller than the falls at Niagara!
View from Artist's Point....
And since we were at Artist's Point, I thought it was appropriate to look around and see what else I could see....
But the falls steal the scene...
Sad to be leaving this beautiful spot but there are more places to discover....like the West Thumb of Yellowstone and Yellowstone Lake...
Just look at the reflections in this water....
This beauty was a surprise...but a nice one. Just loooove her eyes...
We were assured by the ranger that this was in fact a bear paw print in what had been newly poured cement....and that it wasn't planned!
Another surprise...this partridge...alongside the boardwalk...
His/her camoflage is pretty effective, isn't it? If he/she hadn't been coming out from under the boardwalk we never would have seen him.
Yellowstone Lake was surrounded by thermal features....with some even IN the lake! See if you can spot any...
I think I could spend days exploring this area....
Ahhh....aren't the fall colors here just marvelous?!
And so we end the morning with some more beautiful reflections....before leaving Yellowstone and heading to the Grand Tetons...
P.S. I know I'm posting a lot of photos...but, if you must know, I'm culling it down from over 3,000! So, when you put it into perspective, it's really not that many, right?!
