Our next stop was Old Faithful....and we were right on time to get a good spot to watch the next expected eruption (about every 90 minutes, give or take a few, depending on the strength of the previous eruption).
We found our seats and watched while we waited. Steam is continuously rising from the geyser.....

And now "she" is starting to "blow"....

And now it is starting to subside.  They actually said that Old Faithful had hit a new record, as far as height, with this eruption!

After the eruption was completed, we took a walk along the boardwalk....the colors continue to amaze me.  (I think I've said that before, haven't I?!)

Sapphire blue water....bubbling, bubbling, boiling!!

Willie loved seeing these Yellowstone Park tour "buses" around....
After a good lunch (and I'm gonna say it again....I loooove that the National Parks carry gluten free buns), we headed back to the coach.  Goodbye, Old Faithful...

Everywhere you look.....steam!  Imagine the first explorers/settlers that saw these thermal features....not knowing what they were.  I wonder if they felt they were portals to the center of the earth?!

And, of course, there were plenty of bison to see (more of those 3,000+).  These two were squaring off and doing a lot of posturing....
...and then they just walked away from each other!

Yellowstone has quite a few waterfalls....each with its own distinct features...

The view down river....
No selfies....but we did get pictures of each other....

I think I found the mysterious Yeti!

We're headed to our lodging for the night....one of the newest lodges in Yellowstone....
For dinner tonight....bacon wrapped wild game meatloaf, seared trout and portabella fries.....oh, YUMMO!  Tomorrow after a couple more stops in Yellowstone, we will be headed to our first views of the Grand Tetons...more beauty on the horizon.
